Who we are
Scott.AI Inc operates an AI front desk service for local businesses. Each client business gets a phone line, an email address, and a web console. We answer calls and texts on that client's behalf, take messages, schedule work, and send invoices they request.
What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work:
- Your name and contact details, including your phone number and email address
- The content of calls, texts, and emails you exchange with a business we serve
- The details of your inquiry, job, or order
- Basic website usage data, such as pages visited
When you call or text a business we serve, we receive your phone number.
Mobile information is never shared
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with the service providers who help us operate the service, such as our telephony, messaging, scheduling, and payment providers, and only as needed to serve you, or when required by law. Those providers may not use your information for their own marketing.
How we use it
We use your information to answer your questions, schedule and follow up on work, send invoices you ask for, provide customer support, and improve the service. If you call or text us, we may reply by text, including with an AI assistant, to help with your request.
Text messaging
If you text a business we serve, or ask them to text you, we use your number solely to reply and follow up about your inquiry, job, or invoice. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Message frequency varies and depends on your own interactions. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Our full messaging terms are at scott.ai/terms.
Payments
Payments are processed entirely on Stripe's hosted pages. Neither Scott.AI Inc nor the business you are paying ever sees, stores, or transmits your card or bank account numbers.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Reply STOP to any text to end messages, or email us at the address below.
Retention and security
We keep call and message records for as long as the business we serve remains a client, so they can look up their own history. Data is stored with industry standard encryption in transit and at rest.
Children
The service is for businesses and their adult customers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date.
